The Animal House Facility at Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology is fully certified and registered by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India.

Facilities Available

• Dress change cum logbook record area providing clean gowning and visitor tracking
• One Quarantine unit for newly arrived animals (Mice / Rat) with dedicated isolation racks
• Two Animal holding units (Mice / Rat) with standardized racks and climate conditioning
• Centralized Air-Conditioning facility maintaining strict temperature and humidity parameters
• Separate storage area for animal feed, bedding materials, and cage accessories
• Dedicated sanitised Washing Area for hygienic cage decontamination and cleaning
• Standard polypropylene animal cages with stainless steel tops and water feeder bottles
• Continuous monitoring and ethical oversight compliant with IAEC / CPCSEA guidelines
