Institutional Governance

Enforcement Bodies & Monitoring Framework

GNIPST operates a dual-layer anti-ragging institutional mechanism comprising an overarching statutory committee and an on-ground active squad to ensure the highest standards of student safety.

Statutory Supervisory Body

Anti-Ragging Committee

The apex regulatory committee constituted in compliance with UGC/AICTE regulations. It oversees institutional anti-ragging policies, reviews reports, and recommends statutory actions.

  • Chaired by the Principal with senior faculty members
  • Includes civil administration (SDO) and police (OIC Khardah)
  • Active participation of parents, hostel wardens, and students
Active On-Ground Vigilance

Anti-Ragging Squad

A mobile surveillance team mandated to conduct surprise checks across vulnerable campus zones, monitor hostel life, and take immediate preventive action upon any complaint.

  • Surprise night patrols across student hostels and canteens
  • Rapid on-site response to any distress call or enquiry
  • Continuous monitoring of laboratory blocks and transit areas

Zero Tolerance

Any disorderly conduct, whether by spoken words, gestures, or acts causing physical, psychological, or emotional distress is classified as ragging.

Mandatory Affidavits

Every student and guardian must submit signed online anti-ragging undertakings at the time of admission and commencement of each session.

Severe Penalties

Convicted individuals face immediate suspension, forfeiture of scholarships, expulsion from the institute, and mandatory criminal FIR registration.

Total Confidentiality

The identity of any student reporting an incident of ragging is treated with absolute confidentiality and protected by institutional safeguards.
