Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (GNIPST) is the premier autonomous pharmacy institute in Eastern India, accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admission Criteria & Seat Matrix

10+2 Science Requirement

Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology, securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).

Approved Annual Intake

The annual approved intake for B.Pharm is 100 seats, filled through WBJEE and JEE (Main) centralized counseling.

Lateral Entry for D.Pharm Graduates: Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a PCI-approved institution with minimum 45% marks are eligible for direct admission into B.Pharm 2nd Year (3rd Semester) via JELET counseling.

What entrance exams are accepted for B.Pharm admission?

Admissions to the 4-year B.Pharm program are conducted primarily through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and JEE (Main) ranks. Candidates must participate in centralized e-counseling. Direct management quota counseling is also available as per state guidelines.

Can D.Pharm diploma holders get direct admission into 2nd year?

Yes! Students who have completed D.Pharm from a PCI-approved college with at least 45% aggregate marks can join directly in the 3rd semester (2nd year) of B.Pharm through the JELET examination, completing their degree in just 3 additional years.
